Cinema Luxe partner with Butler Harwell to build Grand Designs Live cinema room in the Grand House

For the first time in its history, Grand Designs Live will be building a Grand Designs House at London’s ExCeL centre featuring a cinema room, kitchen/diner, bathroom, hallway, living room and exterior and garden area.

Grand Designs Live is a ‘home event full of inspiration and expert advice’. From 4 - 12 May, guests are invited to explore luxury design and innovative, sustainable home solutions in-situ in a stunning show home, exclusively built to ‘wow’ visitors.

Cinema Luxe have partnered with Butler Harwell to bring cinematic opulence to the Grand House with a home cinema room that demonstrates some of the most coveted technology in home cinema. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience 4K projection and immersive Dolby Atmos surround sound, automated scene-setting, intelligent control systems, specialist home cinema furniture, and luxurious interior design.

Darren Barker, Design Director said “Grand Designs Live is the perfect platform to demonstrate to the public how technology and design can seamlessly come together in beautiful rooms, that families will want to spend time in. We take pride in working with partners who not only share our artistic vision for home cinema, but who are committed to their profession, and we’re thrilled to collaborate with Butler Harwell on this event.

Tom Butler, Founding Director of Butler Harwell comments: “We’re delighted to be exhibiting at the Grand House. We have crafted some beautiful cinemas in private properties that the greater public never gets to appreciate, so I’m excited to publicly showcase the enjoyment home cinema brings. We design and integrate transformative rooms for transportive experiences. What better way to demonstrate the scale of our craftsmanship than building a cinema room in a bare-frame exhibition space with minimal setup time. We can’t wait to give a flavour of home cinema luxury and what we can create in spaces of all sizes.”

The cinema room itself is set in a prime location as you first enter the Grand House, via the main entrance. Our team will be on hand throughout the show to answer any questions about home cinema, multi-purpose media rooms and interior design within technologically complex room builds.
