In April 2023, Cinema Luxe became corporate sponsors of ‘Together For Cinema’, a national charity working to provide immersive cinema rooms for sick and terminally ill children and young adults in hospices and care facilities across the UK.

These vital entertainment spaces provide much-needed respite and escapism to young patients in long-term hospital care as well as to their families, carers and the volunteers and staff involved in looking after them.

Since 2021, 37 cinema rooms have been installed at children’s hospices and other deserving venues across the UK, including Little Havens Hospice in Benfleet, Essex. These ambitious projects would have cost almost £1,000,000 to fund, but have instead been achieved through generous product donations, corporate sponsorship, and free-of-charge installation services provided by companies throughout the Audio Visual industry, as well as backing from celebrity partners.

Darren Barker, Design Director at Cinema Luxe said "At Cinema Luxe, we are thrilled to be involved with Together For Cinema and to be supporting this brilliant cause. The work that Together For Cinema does to bring the joy of cinema to these children and their families is truly inspiring, and we are honoured to be able to contribute in any way that we can. This industry-led initiative holds personal significance for me and our team, and we believe in the power of cinema to bring people together and create shared experiences. We are proud to support Together For Cinema and their mission to make a positive difference in the lives of so many children and families."

Ian Morrish, Director of Together For Cinema said ‘’The most satisfying accomplishment is the positive difference this coming together of AV industry bodies has made to the lives of so many children, their families, carers, and anyone associated with the management of such challenging circumstances. Together For Cinema has also endeavoured to set up a recycling programme to which dated, secondhand, and/or B-stock equipment can be donated to good causes.’’
